Biking

During the lockdown, I had no means of interacting with my friends in-person. However, some of my closest friends and I soon arranged a way for us to meet weekly. Every week, we would go to one friends' house, and bike around his neighborhood (when I say neighborhood, I mean more like a 10-mile radius). We would always meet weekly on Saturdays, and I would look forward to the weekend as early as Wednesdays.
Before quarantine, I was a very casual biker, biking at most a couple of miles in a day, but after a few weeks with my friends, I got used to being able to bike fifteen, sometimes even twenty miles in a day. Biking became a much more enjoyable activity with friends, especially when we stopped by nearby parks and lakes to play football or just enjoy the scenery. Not only did I always have a good time getting physical exercise on Saturdays, but it really strengthened my bond with these friends, and today I could regard them as closer to brothers than friends.
After biking, we always return to the hosting friend's house and try to cool down our frostbitten fingers and faces (we return in the evening). Then, (this is the best part) we satisfy our hunger with good food and retreat to the friend's room to play video games, cards, or simply to just talk.
The times I have on weekends are some of the best thanks to these experiences I make every week biking with these friends, which is why I always look forward to them.
